Living Life Out Loud Feels Good

I don’t know what it is about the new year, the first day of a new top of the hour, day, week, month or quarter, but it’s something I look REALLY forward to more than anyone probably should. Does that mean I am missing the moment, maybe? Or does it mean that I have finally learned the art of giving myself as many do-overs, as many times as I need to stay on track towards my goal. What is my goal you ask? Joie de la vie!!!! Joie de la vie!!! Joie de la vie!!!!! Anything that is important needs to be said at least 3 times to sink in.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Joie de la vie is Cajun slang french version meaning “Joy of Living. This would translate to “joy of life” or “zest for life,” rather than the more affirmative “joy of living.” Happiness,

Mindset versus a set mind

Hello there I said the last time that we would talk about having a leap and the net will appear mind-set.

I guess first one has to ask questions

What is my thinking pattern throughout the day?

How do I start my day”

What do I read?

What is my conversation like?

Do I focus on myself or on others?

Your mindset is a product of what you surround yourself in simple terms what do you see everyday, what do you hear every day, what are your feelings everyday.

Mindset is a product of your attitudes which are actually formed by your habits which are actually formed by your thoughts so it all comes back to you.

Yes you are a product of your environment but you can change that environment.

You can choose what you see, what you hear, how you feel and what you say.

Yes we are all use to the way we grew up and yes we don’t want to change it I mean it’s a lot easier to go with the flow, but you sure want success and the fact that you want it means that it’s somewhere waiting for you.

It won’t come to you, it won’t be given to you and only those in the right frame of mind can attract it, enlarge your comfort zone today, believe in yourself, ask yourself the simple questions above and where they are negative change it there is something special about you that’s why this is coming your way.

Take the leap

Stephen Covey

Around the early hours of Monday morning,  a great man who  died, everyone knows him as various things to many he is  identified with the book the 7 habits of highly effective people. He is also credited with introducing us to “the abundance mindset”.

He was instrumental in the turnaround desperately needed in high school columbine after the bombing and he’s acumen can go on and on but most importantly he was a family man. Father of nine, grandfather of over 50 and great grand father of 2.

Stephen Richards Covey left a huge mark on this planet and he will forever be remembered

A short summary of this popular book is below culled from Wikipedia.

Independence or Self-Mastery

The First Three Habits surround moving from dependence to independence (i.e., self mastery):

  • Habit 1: Be Proactive

Take initiative in life by realizing that your decisions (and how they align with life’s principles) are the primary determining factor for effectiveness in your life. Take responsibility for your choices and the consequences that follow.

  • Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind

Self-discover and clarify your deeply important character values and life goals. Envision the ideal characteristics for each of your various roles and relationships in life. Create a mission statement.

  • Habit 3: Put First Things First

Prioritize, plan, and execute your week’s tasks based on importance rather than urgency. Evaluate whether your efforts exemplify your desired character values, propel you toward goals, and enrich the roles and relationships that were elaborated in Habit 2.

The next three have to do with Interdependence (i.e., working with others):

  • Habit 4: Think Win-Win

Genuinely strive for mutually beneficial solutions or agreements in your relationships. Value and respect people by understanding a “win” for all is ultimately a better long-term resolution than if only one person in the situation had gotten his way.

  • Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood

Use empathic listening to be genuinely influenced by a person, which compels them to reciprocate the listening and take an open mind to being influenced by you. This creates an atmosphere of caring, respect, and positive problem solving.

  • Habit 6: Synergize

Combine the strengths of people through positive teamwork, to achieve goals no one person could have done alone. Get the best performance out of a group of people through encouraging meaningful contribution, and modeling inspirational and supportive leadership.

Self Renewal

The Last habit relates to self-rejuvenation:

  • Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw

Balance and renew your resources, energy, and health to create a sustainable, long-term, effective lifestyle. It primarily emphasizes on exercise for physical renewal, prayer (meditation, yoga, etc.) and good reading for mental renewal. It also mentions service to the society for spiritual renewal

Leap and the Net will appear

The title of this post is actually a quote from John Burroughs a naturalist. It brings to mind so many things, the fear of  the unknown, courage so many things…..

Human nature as we know it would rather have the net there first; except you are in the minute group of people who live and breathe adventure but no most of us are not, so however are we to achieve our dreams and visions which I know  we all have.

Ooh yes you  may say I have no dream, look deeeep within something is laying there but what you think you don’t have is  “the net ” . No one likes risks and it is much wiser to prepare for the unexpected, but this quote says leap and the net will appear.

In other words follow your dreams, today do that thing that is most uncomfortable for you but will bring you closer to achieving your goal, it could be picking up the phone or writing a post , making a video and many times it is veiled in simple things like just lending a helping hand to the next person.

Yes mindset has a lot to do with, taking that leap but guess what you have the mindset already it’s just waiting for the Goldsmith (situations) to beat out and then watch that gold shine.

So take the leap today and see you on the other side of your dreams.(successful)

I’ll talk later about having the mindset that helps one leap.

Came across this on word press while trying to learn how to use my site to it’s optimum I’m sure this will be very helpful.

The Blog

As soon as a blogger publishes their first post, their first question is: Where’s all my traffic? Everyone assumes they’re the only one seeking attention, when in truth nearly everyone is. It takes time to build an audience and no one gets much traffic without putting in the effort.

Here at we want you to get more traffic, and we build features and services to help. It’s been awhile since we’ve told you about them, so here are our top recommendations:

  1. Update your About Page. One of the first things visitors to your site will want to know is something about who you are. If you don’t update your About page to include a short bio, and they find a generic page instead,  they’ll be disappointed. But if you briefly explain (two paragraphs is plenty) what the blog is about, and who you are, they’ll be more likely…

In Pursuit of Happiness

Excellence, what is excellence? what’s your view of excellence? . Excellence is defined as an outstanding feature of quality.

The desire to excel is exclusive of the fact whether someone else appreciates it or not. What are you pursuing a career, a good relationship or just trying to get by, we are all pursuing something knowingly or unknowingly but to get to the pinnacle of whatever it is we are working on we have to pursue excellence and from the jungle of life blog I realized this morning the steps to this pursuit is not so difficult simply

  • maintain focus on whatever it is you are working on
  • Take action we all know action speaks louder than words
  • Be Disciplined to repeat your action’s over time
  • Never be satisfied with the good. What is accepted, is not your goal, and you definitely don’t just want the norm.

“Excellence” is a drive from inside, not outside. Excellence is not for someone else to notice but for your own satisfaction and efficiency.

You are excellently are wonderfully made and everything that comes from you should be.

“Excellence can be obtained if you: …care more than others think is wise; …risk more than others think is safe; …dream more than others think is practical; …expect more than others think is possible.

See you in the top 10% because you’ve got what it takes.
